Since every UTS ticket is uniquely generated, the anomaly prompted backend verification. Railway authorities further confirmed that <strong>no valid season ticket was issued against the mobile numbers provided<\/strong> by the passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AI Tools Behind the Fake Tickets<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators later determined that the commuters had used <strong>AI-based tools to create realistic-looking digital season tickets<\/strong>. This raises concerns about the growing accessibility of fraud-enabling technology and its misuse in public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The individuals were taken to Kurla station and handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), who booked them under BNS sections related to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cheating<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forgery of electronic records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travelling without a valid ticket<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These offences can carry <strong>serious penalties, including imprisonment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Earlier Cases &amp; Railways\u2019 Heightened Vigilance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Central Railway officials confirmed that <strong>similar fake ticket cases have surfaced earlier this week<\/strong>, indicating a potential emerging trend. All such cases have been forwarded for deeper investigation to trace how these forged tickets are being generated and circulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, the railway administration has intensified checking on AC locals and other suburban services. Officials emphasised that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cScreenshots, edited images, or stored files are <em>not<\/em> considered valid tickets.
