The Adani Group Chairman, Mr Gautam Adani announced a landmark commitment in  building the Bharat Knowledge Graph \u2014 a first-of-its-kind digital framework designed to preserve, structure and future-proof India\u2019s civilisational knowledge in the age of Artificial Intelligence during the inaugural Adani Global Indology Conclave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investing In Reviving Indology<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that the Adani Group has hosted the three-day Global Indology Conclave<\/a> to revive Indology in collaboration with the Ministry of Education\u2019s Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, this Conclave is about the global academic study of India\u2019s civilization, languages, philosophies, sciences and cultural heritage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, Mr Gautam Adani said, “As a beginning, I am humbled to announce a founding contribution of \u20b9100 crore towards building the Bharat Knowledge Graph and supporting the scholars and technologists who will contribute to this Indology mission. This is the repayment of a civilizational debt\u201d while delivering the keynote address at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this event, the guest of honour was the  Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji, Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math \u2014 who is the 46th in an unbroken lineage of revered acharyas who trace their spiritual authority to Adi Shankaracharya himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While addressing the conclave, Shankaracharya informed, “When I assumed the position of Shankaracharya, I had said that my role would become meaningful only when India becomes the Vishwaguru (global teacher). And today, Gautam Adani ji\u2019s initiative is a major support to that very dream of mine”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have held this Global Indology Conclave  at the Adani Corporate House (ACH) in Ahmedabad from 20 to 22 November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reasserting Knowledge & Presenting To The World <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this effort, they seek to reassert India\u2019s ownership of its knowledge systems and present them to the world through an authentic, research-driven Indian lens during a time when Indology departments worldwide are shrinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, Mr Gautam Adani said, “If a civilization does not actively defend its cultural and emotional frameworks, human behaviour will bend, not towards culture or tradition, but towards the cold logic of the machine\u2019s algorithms. This shift will be silent, gradual and will reshape how we feel, learn and analyse our own country.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this partnership, the Adani Group brings forth the long-term commitment to nation-building with IKS\u2019 mandate to integrate India\u2019s traditional knowledge frameworks into contemporary education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here IKS works to mainstream ancient Indian wisdom across disciplines, encouraging interdisciplinary research, preservation of texts and practices and practical application in modern contexts such as engineering, environmental science, linguistics, public policy and healthcare which was launched under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to Indology, it has historically shaped the global understanding of India while influencing the sectors as varied as linguistics, astronomy, mathematics, governance, literature and health sciences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although, the decades of declining institutional support have diluted its academic depth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to address this challenge, the Adani Group and IKS are leading a five-year program to support 14 PhD scholars across leading institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their research, they will span through Paninian grammar and computational linguistics, ancient astronomical systems, indigenous healthcare frameworks, sustainability principles in traditional engineering, political thought, heritage studies and classical literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
