It\u2019s not just the food that they carry with them, but also the travel staples that they can get along the way which include thepla, mathri, paratha-sabzi, litti-chikha, and puri-sabzi to chhole bhature, idli-dosa, biryani, and tea-coffee available on stations, one cannot imagine a train ride without food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So broadly, it\u2019s the food that they bring along or the food they buy along the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kettle Chronicles on the Rails: When Maggi Meets Mayhem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in a recent video that went viral, a Maharashtrian woman was spotted cooking inside the bogie. While some are amused, others took umbrage and were concerned about the safety and lack of civic sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rather hostel scene was pulled off in a moving train, wherein a Maharashtrian woman was spotted cooking instant noodles in a kettle plugged into the switch of an AC compartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As she is seen savouring the moment, she is unaware of the fact that cooking in a kettle in the train can overload the circuit, and a fire can also break out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netizens Voice Alarm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A user shared the video of the woman and wrote<\/a>, “This is a major safety hazard and can cause fire, endangering the lives of all onboard. That’s why we cannot have good things. Many will misuse the facilities and then be proud of it. Most lack civil sense.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One person questioned him, “How? DC Electricity is supplied in trains. You can charge laptops, so how is this dangerous?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One user recalled an old incident and shared, “Many years ago, on a train ride from Chennai to Tatanagar, a family performed pooja and burnt agarbatti, camphor. I told the TC, and he warned them. That was before the era of the internet. Nothing has changed since; people still lack all sense.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another user commented “Amazing. People can’t follow basic rules but will proudly risk an entire train for hot water.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many questioned why kettles aren\u2019t banned, while others said travellers act as they please once they\u2019ve bought a ticket. Another suggested railways upgrade outlets and promote them effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
