Flipkart Expands EV Fleet Across Key Cities, Launches Long-Haul Electric Truck Pilot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the press release, these electric vehicle fleet is now functional in many of the key metro cities<\/a> as well as Tier-2+ locations which includes the likes of Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Lucknow, supporting Flipkart\u2019s commitment to The Climate Group\u2019s global EV100 initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pilot program for the long-haul logistics has also been launched by Flipkart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with Golden Aero Logistics, Flipkart is testing a retrofitted Kalyani electric truck on the Delhi-Jaipur route. The pilot aims to assess the truck\u2019s performance, energy efficiency, and turnaround time for medium-distance freight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flipkart\u2019s Sustainability Push – 70% of Grocery Deliveries Now Using Electric Vehicles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nishant Gupta, Head of Sustainability at Flipkart said that “Our journey toward an all-electric logistics network is rooted in both scale and substance\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further added that “From empowering our wishmasters with practical knowledge to collaborating with industry partners on infrastructure and product design, we are focused on removing real barriers to adoption and driving inclusive, long-term change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the sowed seeds of sustainability are already reaping results when it comes to the high-frequency operations as currently 70% of grocery deliveries on the Flipkart platform are fulfilled using electric vehicles, which reflects the reliability of the fleet and goes a long way in meaningfully reducing the company\u2019s operational carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
