The move comes as Delhi\u2019s 24-hour average AQI touched <strong>428<\/strong> on Tuesday, posing health risks to even healthy individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled-design-2-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Delhi Schools Impose Hybrid Mode Because Of Air Pollution\" class=\"wp-image-1302497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled-design-2-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled-design-2-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled-design-2-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Construction Ban, Vehicle Restrictions, and School Curbs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under <strong>GRAP Stage III<\/strong>, all <strong>construction and demolition activities<\/strong>\u2014except for critical infrastructure projects\u2014are <strong>banned<\/strong> across Delhi-NCR. In addition, the <strong>use of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers<\/strong> has been <strong>prohibited<\/strong> in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Budh Nagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CAQM has also ordered that <strong>classes up to Grade 5<\/strong> be conducted in <strong>hybrid mode<\/strong>, allowing both <strong>physical and online sessions<\/strong> where feasible. State governments have been instructed to <strong>implement restrictions immediately<\/strong>, with enforcement to begin once official orders are issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existing restrictions under earlier stages of GRAP, including <strong>dust control, waste burning bans<\/strong>, and <strong>vehicle emission checks<\/strong>, will remain in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Severe Pollution and Government Response<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <strong>Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)<\/strong>, pollution levels in the <strong>\u2018severe\u2019 category<\/strong> can cause respiratory distress among healthy people and significantly impact those with pre-existing illnesses. The <strong>air quality is expected to improve slightly<\/strong> to the \u2018very poor\u2019 range by Wednesday, according to official data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delhi Chief Minister <strong>Rekha Gupta<\/strong> said her government is <strong>strictly enforcing all measures<\/strong>, including hybrid schooling and vehicle checks. She also emphasized that pollution in Delhi is heavily influenced by <strong>activities in neighbouring NCR cities<\/strong>, adding that the government is working in <strong>\u201cmission mode\u201d<\/strong> to address the crisis through <strong>water sprinklers, road sweeping, dust mitigation, and smoke control initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Recurring Winter Crisis<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each winter, Delhi\u2019s air quality deteriorates sharply due to <strong>stubble burning, vehicular emissions, and construction dust<\/strong>, coupled with stagnant weather conditions.
