It is very low compared to projects like Samruddhi Mahamarg or the Palkhi Marg.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zhurange also mentioned that the farmers had not given the Collector a specific figure but asked him to visit the villages and hold meetings before deciding on an appropriate rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A press note from the District Collectorate stated that the government proposed compensation at four times the ready reckoner (RR) rate, while farmers demanded five times the RR rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dudi said, \u201cAs per the notification issued by the government on March 17, 2025, efforts will be made to ensure fair compensation, transparency and protection of the interests of the farmers, as per the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act of 2013 and to give positive consideration to the demands of the farmers and to get them compensation as per the government rules.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Land from seven villages \u2014 Ekhatpur, Khanwadi, Kumbharwalan, Munjawadi, Pargaon, Udachiwadi, and Vanpuri \u2014 is being acquired for the airport project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rate of Compensation For Farmers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has also offered that 10% of the acquired land area will be returned as a developed plot for industrial, commercial, residential, or mixed use in the MIDC area, with a minimum size of 100 square meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Farmers whose houses are acquired will receive a 250 square meter residential plot in AeroCity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families that become landless due to the acquisition will receive a cash amount equal to 750 days of minimum agricultural wages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small landholders affected by the acquisition will receive compensation equal to 500 days of minimum agricultural wages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families whose houses are taken will also get a migration grant of Rs 40,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other benefits under the compensation package will also be provided, though details were not specified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionworld.in\/transport-infrastructure\/aviation-and-airport-infra\/purandar-airport-land-acquisition-decision-imminent\/63139\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi told The Indian Express that the government aims to start distributing compensation money for the Purandar Airport land acquisition by the end of November.
