This follows an earlier round of tests on the <strong>Mahoba\u2013Khajuraho route<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>16-coach rake<\/strong> is built for <strong>semi-high-speed travel<\/strong>, and the trial runs are testing the train\u2019s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technical efficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Braking performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ride stability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vibration control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical and mechanical reliability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>RDSO Test Directorate<\/strong> is conducting these trials to ensure the train meets the standards for high-speed passenger operations under real-world conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Simulating Real Passenger Load<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To replicate real operational performance, the rake was <strong>tested under full passenger load conditions<\/strong>. The 16-coach rake, weighing about <strong>800 tons<\/strong>, was supplemented with an <strong>additional 108 tons<\/strong> of iron dust canisters, bringing the total load to <strong>908 tons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This approach ensures that all systems \u2014 from traction and braking to vibration control \u2014 are validated under actual operating stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How the Train Achieved 180 kmph<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the trial, the train underwent a <strong>Long Confirmatory Run (LCR)<\/strong> over a <strong>50 km stretch between Rohalkhurd and Laban stations<\/strong>, clocking the maximum speed of <strong>180 kmph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crucial safety tests, including <strong>oscillation tests<\/strong> and <strong>wet track emergency braking trials<\/strong>, were successfully completed. These are designed to test the train\u2019s high-speed stability and braking efficiency even under adverse conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The railways noted that the <strong>modified coach design<\/strong> offers improved <strong>stability and comfort<\/strong>, ensuring passengers experience smooth and quiet travel even at top speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Step Toward Long-Distance High-Speed Comfort<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike existing Vande Bharat Express trains with chair cars, the <strong>Vande Bharat Sleeper<\/strong> will allow passengers to travel comfortably on <strong>longer overnight routes<\/strong>.
