Therefore, the ongoing work from Maan-Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar will be completed under their authority.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is going to be the 23.3-kilometer-long metro line that will feature 23 stations and has been developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with Tata-Siemens as the private partner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This metro line is designed to handle around a thousand passengers per train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this corridor, the centre aims to significantly improve connectivity between the city\u2019s IT hub in Hinjawadi and the central business district of Shivajinagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first trial run of the metro was successfully conducted between Maan Depot and PMR-4 station in the middle of this year during July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Completion Date and List Of Stations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is expected to be fully operational by March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being a PPP-based initiative, the entire route of this project will commence operations in a single phase, from Maan-Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of the stations on this line includes Megapolis Circle, Embassy Quadron Business Park, Dohler, Infosys Phase 2, Wipro Phase 2, Pal India, Shivaji Chowk, Hinjawadi, Wakad Chowk, Balewadi Stadium, NICMAR, Ram Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, Balewadi Phata, Baner village, Baner, Agricultural Research, Sakal Nagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, RBI, College of Agriculture, Shivajinagar and Civil Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, PMRDA has played a key role in initiating and overseeing much of the construction, according to the officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials noted the government\u2019s recent order transfers the responsibility for further metro expansion projects in Maharashtra to Mahametro.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note here that the expansion projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region will continue to be handled by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PMRDA\u2019s role in this metro corridor will officially conclude after the ongoing Hinjawadi\u2013Shivajinagar line is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This would be marking a transition point for the city\u2019s urban transport development under Mahametro\u2019s expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a recent update, the Maharashtra state government has officially handed over the responsibility of expanding the 23.3-km Hinjawadi\u2013Shivajinagar Metro line to the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Mahametro).
