This two-year window is meant to help transporters transition their fleets to cleaner BS-VI models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vehicles <strong>running on CNG, LNG, or electricity<\/strong> will face <strong>no entry restrictions<\/strong>, encouraging the use of greener alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GRAP Restrictions and Enforcement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)<\/strong> will continue to apply in Delhi based on air quality levels. Under severe pollution conditions, additional restrictions on goods vehicles may be enforced to limit emissions and traffic congestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure compliance, the Transport Department is expected to conduct <strong>strict border checks<\/strong> and use <strong>automated monitoring systems<\/strong> to identify violators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transporters\u2019 Response<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Industry representatives, including <strong>Bhim Wadhawa<\/strong> of the <strong>All India Motor Transport Congress<\/strong>, acknowledged that they have <strong>a year to adapt<\/strong>, while <strong>Rajendra Kapoor<\/strong> of the <strong>All India Motor and Goods Transport Association<\/strong> indicated plans to <strong>seek legal relief<\/strong> from the <strong>Supreme Court<\/strong> for an extended relaxation period beyond 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From November 1, commercial goods vehicles that do not meet BS-VI emission norms will be barred from entering Delhi, according to a public notice from the Delhi Transport Department.
