This initiative is aimed at enhancing passenger mobility and reducing travel time between terminals at India\u2019s busiest airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"504\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-1024x504.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1301874\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-1024x504.png 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-300x148.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-768x378.png 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-1536x756.png 1536w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-9.28.31-AM-2048x1008.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to DIAL CEO <strong>Videh Kumar Jaipuriar<\/strong>, the Air Train will provide a smooth, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.india.com\/business\/dmrc-delhi-metro-update-good-news-for-travelers-as-new-metro-station-part-of-golden-line-to-connect-delhi-airports-terminal1-to-terminal3-new-integrated-station-being-planned-between-aerocity-t1-8151089\/\">time-efficient<\/a>, and eco-friendly alternative for passengers transferring between terminals, especially those catching connecting flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Golden Line Metro To Boost Connectivity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Air Train, Delhi Metro\u2019s upcoming <strong>Golden Line (Tughlakabad\u2013Aerocity corridor)<\/strong> under Phase IV will provide a direct metro connection between <strong>T1 and Aerocity<\/strong>, thereby linking it to <strong>T3<\/strong> through the existing Airport Express Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Golden Line was earlier planned up to Aerocity. We have now convinced DMRC to extend it to T1,\u201d Jaipuriar said, emphasizing the importance of an <strong>integrated station<\/strong> at Aerocity for multi-modal connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A True Multi-Modal Transport Hub<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Aerocity area will soon serve as a <strong>major transport hub<\/strong>, integrating the <strong>RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System)<\/strong>, the <strong>Airport Metro Line<\/strong>, and the <strong>Air Train<\/strong>. This unified infrastructure will allow passengers to easily switch between transport modes \u2014 from metro to airport terminals \u2014 without the hassle of multiple transfers or road traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Air Train project will be developed on a <strong>Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT)<\/strong> model, making it a key infrastructure milestone for Delhi Airport\u2019s long-term vision of handling <strong>over 100 million passengers annually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Modern Travel Experience Awaits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With four runways and three terminals, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) continues to evolve as a world-class aviation hub.
