The current options, including the <strong>Deccan Queen<\/strong>, <strong>Intercity Express<\/strong>, and <strong>Koyna Express<\/strong>, operate with limited frequency\u2014forcing travellers to depend on road travel, which is increasingly unreliable due to heavy traffic and frequent accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ganesh Yelwande, a daily commuter from Talawade, said, \u201cIf the frequency is increased, it will help frequent travellers like us. The RRTS model offers <strong>semi-high-speed trains<\/strong> running at up to <strong>180 km\/h<\/strong> on dedicated elevated tracks, ensuring congestion-free and predictable journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nilesh Langhi, a Pimple Nilakh resident who travels to Mumbai for work, said, \u201cA semi-high-speed corridor like RRTS connecting Mumbai and Pune would transform travel and contribute immensely to the state\u2019s economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi-Meerut RRTS, spanning <strong>82 km<\/strong> and costing over <strong>\u20b930,000 crore<\/strong>, already connects several key points with 11 stations. A similar approach for Maharashtra could redefine regional commuting patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Boosting Business and Reducing Economic Friction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Frequent travellers, traders, and entrepreneurs say inconsistent train schedules affect business operations.<br>Rupesh Ambekar, a civil contractor from Dighi, said, \u201cMany of us rely on Mumbai\u2019s wholesale markets.
