The government plans to conduct a trial run to ensure smooth traffic flow before the official launch. The inauguration is expected soon after, marking a key milestone in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s infrastructure growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A 63-Kilometre Engineering Marvel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway<\/strong>, officially designated as <strong>National Expressway 6 (NE-6)<\/strong>, spans <strong>63 kilometres<\/strong> and connects Lucknow, Unnao, and Kanpur. The six-lane stretch is also <strong>expandable to eight lanes<\/strong> in the future to accommodate increasing traffic volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Running parallel to the existing <strong>NH-27<\/strong>, the new expressway shortens the route between Lucknow and Kanpur \u2014 reducing the <strong>distance from 85 km to 63 km<\/strong> and the <strong>travel time from nearly 3 hours to just 35\u201340 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Route Details and Toll Plazas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The expressway will start near <strong>Shaheed Path in Lucknow<\/strong>, passing through <strong>Bani, Kantha, and Amarsas<\/strong>, before connecting to <strong>Azad Marg and Udyog Path in Kanpur<\/strong>.<br>A total of <strong>five toll plazas<\/strong> are being constructed at <strong>Miranpur Pinwat, Khandedev, Bani (Lucknow), and Lalganj (Unnao)<\/strong> to manage operations efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has earmarked <strong>\u20b9800 crore<\/strong> in compensation for land acquisition, covering <strong>42 villages<\/strong> across Lucknow and Unnao districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transforming Connectivity in Uttar Pradesh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once operational, the Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway will become a vital link for both commercial and passenger transport, boosting trade, tourism, and industrial activity in the Awadh region.
