strategy.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai plans to invest \u20b945,000 crore in India by fiscal year 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hyundai CEO Jose Munoz Bets Big on India with \u20b945,000 Crore Investment Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company will launch 26 new cars in India, including seven new nameplates, eight hybrids, and five electric vehicles (EVs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai aims to grow its Indian revenues by 1.5 times, expecting to surpass \u20b91 lakh crore by FY2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company targets sustained double-digit EBITDA margins and a dividend payout between 20% and 40%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz expects India\u2019s total vehicle industry volume to reach 5.6 million units by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai intends to make India an export hub, including for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz emphasizes, \u201cIndia is not just important for Hyundai\u2019s global strategy, but India is Hyundai\u2019s global strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He adds that while planning is crucial, \u201cplans are just 1% of the strategy\u2026 the most important part is execution which is 99%.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Munoz Sees India\u2019s Two- and Three-Wheeler Users as Key Growth Opportunity for Hyundai<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz believes India\u2019s market potential lies in the large population currently using motorcycles and three-wheelers who aspire to own cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He describes \u201ctwo Indias\u201d \u2014 one resembling global markets with SUVs and off-roaders, and another with massive potential where users will upgrade from two- and three-wheelers to cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz predicts that given India\u2019s population and growing motorization, the market \u201cwill be like a rocket.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of FY2030, he expects India to become Hyundai\u2019s largest region by volume after North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite SUVs dominating the market, Hyundai will continue producing small cars in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz stresses that small cars are essential because they \u201cmake us more competitive and allow us to be popular.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He notes that small cars help customers transition easily from entry-level models to larger ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On competition from Maruti, Mahindra, and Tata Motors, Munoz acknowledges that local brands have made \u201cgreat improvements in design, quality, and reliability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He praises the \u201clatest SUVs and road capabilities\u201d of Indian automakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz says Hyundai \u201cwelcomes competition\u201d because \u201cwe are better when we are challenged.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He admits that Hyundai\u2019s plan for India is ambitious and complex, requiring serious attention to strong local contenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Munoz believes succeeding in India will make Hyundai stronger globally and more capable of competing with Chinese automakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the Genesis luxury brand, Munoz confirms its launch in India in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai plans to locally manufacture Genesis models in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He expresses confidence in the luxury segment, saying there is \u201cgood potential for the luxury brand here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On balancing major investments with dividends, Munoz explains that Hyundai\u2019s approach is part of a \u201cmid- to long-term plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He states that the company aims to remain \u201cwell balanced \u2014 to invest and also provide a dividend,\u201d highlighting a focus on sustainable growth
