Of this, 41 metres will be dedicated to the 8-lane expressway and the reserved Metro space. There will be two service roads, each 9 metres wide on either side of the expressway, which are designed with two lanes plus a cycling lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to that, pedestrians will find 3-metre-wide pavements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reason Behind the Delay<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary reason behind the delay of the project was land acquisition and the challenges around it. To execute the same, Special Land Acquisition Officers were appointed to gather landowners\u2019 preferences and finalise compensation awards. In order to address this issue, 5 options were offered to the landowners as compensation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compensation Options Offered to Landowners:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cash payment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transferable Development Rights (TDR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced Floor Area Ratio (FAR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developed residential land<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commercial land along the corridor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Features of the Bengaluru Business Corridor (BBC) Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5-metre median reserved for a future Metro corridor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8-lane expressway with a total width of 65 metres<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>41 metres dedicated to the expressway itself<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Namma Metro Yellow Line<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another news, Bengaluru\u2019s Namma Metro Yellow Line, which runs from R.V. Road to Bommasandra, has received its fifth trainset. This new trainset arrived on 30 September and will help reduce long waiting times for daily commuters. Engineers will now put the train together and test it for 20 days. After that, the train will start running regularly by mid-October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yellow Line is 18.82 km long and was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2025. At first, only three trains were available, making passengers wait over 25 minutes between trains during busy times. A fourth train was added in September, cutting the wait to 19 minutes, but trains were still crowded.
