While expanding AI Mode to seven new Indian languages including Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, Google announced a major update for its AI-powered Search experience in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering this rollout, the company is expecting millions more users across the country as they will be able to ask complex questions and get detailed answers in their preferred language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, AI Mode was available only in English and Hindi to help people explore deeper topics and ask longer, more conversational questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The response to AI Mode since its launch in India has been \u201cincredible,\u201d with people using it for everything from education and writing to product comparisons and trip planning, according to Google<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new language expansion is powered by its custom Gemini model for Search, designed to understand the nuances of local languages rather than just translating words, said the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is planning to roll out these new languages over the next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, Google introduced \u2018Search Live’, a new feature within AI Mode that allows users to interact with Search using voice and camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This further helps people in talking to Google and get real-time help based on what’s in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indian User Experiencing Search Live in English and Hindi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move holds significance as India is going to be the first country outside the US which has experienced Search Live in English and Hindi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, now users can point their camera at ingredients and ask, \u201cWhat’s the best way to combine these to make an iced matcha?\u201d and get instant guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is especially useful for DIY projects, troubleshooting, schoolwork, and travel planning, Google said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Live is rolling out on 8th October and it will reach more users in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to try it, it can simply be done by opening the Google app and tapping the \u2018Live’ icon under the search bar or go to Google Lens and select \u2018Live’ at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, these updates reflect its deep commitment in making Search more intuitive, conversational, and accessible for everyone in India, allowing users to \u201ctruly ask anything,\u201d claimed by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
