IT services major Infosys<\/strong> has kicked off its annual performance appraisal<\/strong> for employees, raising expectations of a potential salary hike in 2026<\/strong>. Employees received an internal email from HR asking them to complete self-evaluations by October 17<\/strong>, marking the start of the review cycle for FY25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a routine exercise, but we hope the company will give us a raise this time, unlike last year,\u201d an employee told ET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infosys\u2019 annual review cycle runs from October to September<\/strong>, with ratings disclosed by January<\/strong> and appraisal letters released by June<\/strong> each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appraisals Follow a Challenging Year<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Infosys\u2019 previous salary revisions were implemented in two phases during 2025<\/strong>, after a delay <\/a>in the FY24 cycle. Employees at the JL5 level and below<\/strong> (up to team leads) received pay hikes effective January 1<\/strong>, while JL6 and above<\/strong> got increases from April 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the average hike was 5\u201310% lower<\/strong> compared with the 2023 cycle, following a year when the company had frozen raises to conserve cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s evaluation emphasizes career growth and skill building<\/strong>. Employees have been asked to document achievements, challenges, and development goals aligned with future roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is your opportunity to reflect on your key efforts, outcomes, and achievements, and set future-ready goals,\u201d the internal HR mail stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance ratings\u2014ranging from \u201cMet Expectations\u201d<\/em> to \u201cOutstanding\u201d<\/em>\u2014will determine pay hikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry-Wide Appraisal Season Begins<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Infosys\u2019 rival TCS<\/strong> has also begun its annual performance evaluation<\/strong>, with salary hikes for employees at C3A level and above<\/strong> effective September 2025<\/strong>. High performers at TCS are reportedly receiving double-digit increments<\/strong>, reflecting growing optimism in India\u2019s IT sector as demand gradually recovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infosys is set to announce its Q2 FY26 financial results on October 16<\/strong>, which could offer insights into its appraisal-linked compensation plans for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
