Subscribers can now withdraw up to <strong>100% of their EPF balance<\/strong>, covering both employee and employer contributions. The <strong>minimum service requirement<\/strong> for all withdrawals is now <strong>just 12 months<\/strong>, making the system more inclusive and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Safeguards and Simplified Processes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Members withdrawing funds under <strong>Special Circumstances<\/strong> will no longer need to specify reasons, eliminating one of the key causes of claim rejections. However, to maintain long-term financial security, <strong>25% of the member\u2019s EPF balance<\/strong> will be retained as a minimum reserve. The move ensures members continue earning EPFO\u2019s <strong>8.25% annual interest<\/strong>, fostering corpus growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The simplified structure will also enable <strong>100% auto-settlement of claims<\/strong> \u2014 no documentation required \u2014 enhancing ease of living for millions of employees nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vishwas Scheme to End Long-Pending Litigations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The EPFO board has also approved the <strong>Vishwas Scheme<\/strong>, designed to reduce litigation over penal damages for delayed PF remittances. With over <strong>6,000 cases worth \u20b92,406 crore<\/strong> pending, the scheme introduces <strong>graded penalty rates<\/strong>, starting as low as <strong>0.25% for delays up to two months<\/strong>. Upon compliance, pending cases will be closed, reducing the legal burden on employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EPFO 3.0: A Digital Leap for Faster Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To strengthen efficiency and transparency, EPFO launched <strong>EPFO 3.0<\/strong>, a digital transformation initiative integrating <strong>core banking, cloud, and API-first systems<\/strong>.
