Alakh Pandey, founder of Physics Wallah, has witnessed a dramatic 223% surge in his net worth over the past year, reaching \u20b914,510 crore, according to the Hurun India Rich List 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this rise, he has surpassed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose wealth is estimated at \u20b912,490 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Allahabad-born entrepreneur now ranks among the fastest wealth creators in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alakh Pandey Overtakes Shah Rukh Khan with 223% Wealth Surge to \u20b914,510 Crore<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pandey\u2019s co-founder, Prateek Maheshwari, also recorded an identical 223% increase in net worth, taking his wealth to \u20b914,520 crore, highlighting Physics Wallah\u2019s rapid growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the company\u2019s success, Physics Wallah continues to operate at a net loss, though the losses have significantly narrowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edtech firm reported a reduced loss of \u20b9243 crore in FY25, down from \u20b91,131 crore in FY24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue grew to \u20b92,886 crore in FY25, up from \u20b91,940 crore the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hurun report remarked, \u201cThe duo\u2019s wealth surge underscores the strong growth trajectory of Physics Wallah, which started from Allahabad and Ajmer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shah Rukh Khan Enters Billionaire Club with 71% Wealth Increase<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan also achieved a financial milestone by entering the billionaire club with a 71% rise in his wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, posted a net profit of \u20b985 crore in FY23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The phenomenal success of Jawan further boosted Khan\u2019s earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film, made on a \u20b9300 crore budget, grossed more than \u20b91,160 crore worldwide, as per Sacnilk data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physics Wallah is now gearing up for a \u20b93,820 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IPO will include a fresh issue worth \u20b93,100 crore and an offer for sale of \u20b9720 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boob will each sell shares worth \u20b9360 crore in the offering, according to PTI reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IPO is being managed by major investment firms such as Kotak Mahindra Capital, JP Morgan India, Goldman Sachs India, and Axis Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is backed by prominent investors including Hornbill, WestBridge Capital, and GSV Ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physics Wallah had earlier filed a confidential pre-IPO document with SEBI and has since received approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alakh Pandey\u2019s journey reflects India\u2019s evolving story of wealth creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A college dropout from Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, Pandey started teaching physics on YouTube in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
