However, payments made <strong>directly to schools or colleges<\/strong> \u2014 either through their <strong>official websites<\/strong> or <strong>POS (Point of Sale) machines<\/strong> \u2014 will <strong>not attract this fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This change aims to streamline transaction costs while encouraging direct payments to educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wallet Load Transactions Over \u20b91,000 to Attract Fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In another key update, SBI Card will introduce a <strong>1% charge on wallet load transactions exceeding \u20b91,000<\/strong>. This will impact users who frequently top up digital wallets using their SBI credit cards \u2014 a move likely aimed at discouraging excessive wallet usage for cashback or points arbitrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reward Points on Ajio and JioMart to Continue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On a positive note, SBI Card will <strong>continue rewarding online shoppers<\/strong>. Since <strong>October 1, 2025<\/strong>, customers earn <strong>20 reward points per \u20b9100 spent<\/strong> on <strong>Ajio<\/strong> and <strong>JioMart<\/strong> using the <strong>Reliance SBI Card PRIME<\/strong>, while other SBI Card users get <strong>10 points per \u20b9100<\/strong>. These rewards are valid <strong>only for purchases made directly on the platforms<\/strong>, subject to terms and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Plan Updates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Separately, SBI Card also confirmed that <strong>CPP (Card Protection Plan)<\/strong> customers were <strong>migrated to updated plan variants<\/strong> from <strong>September 16, 2025<\/strong>, featuring revised benefits and pricing based on renewal schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Cardholders Should Do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Review your payment methods:<\/strong> Avoid third-party platforms for education-related payments to sidestep additional charges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Monitor wallet transactions:<\/strong> Be mindful of top-ups exceeding \u20b91,000 to avoid extra fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maximize rewards:<\/strong> Use your SBI Card on <strong>Ajio<\/strong> and <strong>JioMart<\/strong> to continue earning accelerated reward points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s leading credit card issuer, SBI Card, has announced significant changes to its fee structure starting November 1, 2025, affecting select transactions such as education payments and wallet loads.
