Mumbai commuters can now complete their metro journeys using a single ticket, thanks to the launch of the OneTicket App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app works across multiple metro lines, solving the earlier challenge where passengers had to buy separate tickets for different operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumbai Metro Launches OneTicket App for Seamless Single-Ticket Travel Across Lines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OneTicket App was first piloted on Metro-3 in June 2025, using QR code-based ticketing <\/a>to make entry and travel smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumbai\u2019s metro network currently covers 70 km but is projected to expand to 340 km, creating the need for a unified ticketing solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SequelString, with support from Mumbai Metro One, introduced the app to simplify the commuter experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A statement explained, \u201cThe app is built on ONDC\u2019s digital infrastructure, which connects commuter needs to metro services seamlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app is available for download on the Google Play Store under the name \u201cOneTicket\u201d for Android users, and on the Apple App Store as \u201cOneTicketIndia\u201d for iPhone users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How To Book OneTicket From OneTicket App?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To book a ticket, users must download the app, sign up with their mobile number, choose their source and destination stations, select the number of tickets (up to 4), make payment via UPI, credit card, or debit card, and then receive a QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The QR code generated after payment must be scanned at the metro check-in gates to access the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new digital system is expected to make travel simpler and faster for Mumbai\u2019s growing metro ridership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Dussehra, Mumbai may also see the full launch of the underground Metro-3 Aqua Line, stretching 33.5 km from Colaba to Seepz, improving connectivity between South Mumbai and suburban areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase one of the Metro-3 line, covering Aarey Colony to Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), began operations on October 7, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase two, from BKC to Worli, opened on May 9, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction for the third and final phase is underway and is expected to open soon, completing the Aqua Line for public use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
