Google Vids Is Now Free For All Workspace Users<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to rumours, not all of Vids’ features are free; the sophisticated AI-powered ones still cost money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because Vids was previously hidden behind a paywall, many people may not have been aware of it. Due to its direct integration<\/a> with Google Drive, which streamlines workflows, the application may gain value with free access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Google, Vids has one million active users each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google admits that its assortment of video tools can be confusing. Google Veo 3 is the AI model that powers all of Google’s AI video products, Vids is a work-oriented video editor that has been upgraded with AI features through Gemini, and Google Flow is an AI generative tool targeted for cinematic creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the free release of Vids is notable, the real \u201cnew\u201d part lies in the AI features, which are available only to business, enterprise, and paid AI plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most eye-catching AI feature is the ability to convert images into short, 8-second videos with sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quoting Google\u2019s blog post, “This means you can upload a product shot, or company stock photography, and use a text prompt to create animated video clips with native audio that are aligned with your brand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Features of Google Vids<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI avatars have been added as another new feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although these avatars may not seem particularly helpful in professional contexts, Google clarifies that users can upload a script and have the avatar deliver it, which makes them useful for last-minute demos or training videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, there is an AI tool for transcription cleanup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filler words, such as “umm,” and awkward pauses are automatically eliminated from recordings by this feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advantage is that recording requires fewer attempts because the output is smoothed out by the editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since almost all products these days incorporate AI, it makes sense that Vids would do the same, according to the article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
