The allegations first appeared on Blind, a website where verified workers talk about problems at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One person claimed on Blind that Walmart had committed a “massive fraud.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTOL Digital Solutions, an IT consultant company in Switzerland, took notice of the same claims and pointed out that Walmart had not provided any evidence or verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through an account that identified itself as a \u201cH-1B whistleblower,\u201d these allegations gained additional traction on X (previously Twitter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reddit forum r\/Layoffs also featured the accusations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walmart severed its relationship with Caspex-sourced contractors due to a kickback scheme that favoured specific contractual agencies, according to CTOL Digital Solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The X account was the one that connected H-1B visa holders to the scandal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grok fact-checked the claims at the time, writing: \u201cBased on searches, reports of Walmart terminating ~1,200 contractors linked to Caspex and a VP kickback scandal appear in forums like Blind and Reddit, but remain unconfirmed rumors\u2014no official Walmart statement exists as of Aug 23, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Senator Mike Lee of Utah posted a screenshot of the CTOL Digital Solutions report on X, raising concerns about whether it was time to halt H-1B visas, even though Walmart clarified that the terminations had nothing to do with the visas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walmart\u2019s Clarification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walmart issued a clarification, stating: \u201cFollowing an investigation, Walmart recently terminated one vendor and a small number of U.S.-based associates. This investigation had nothing to do with H1B visas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indians in the United States have previously been alarmed about the purported Walmart visa issue, but Senator Lee’s remarks sparked new worries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This occurs in the midst of Donald Trump’s administration’s immigration crackdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some users said that these bribes were “very common” in the comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
