Indian Railways: Free Luggage Weight Limits for Each Travel Class<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe free luggage weight limits per class are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- General Class: up to 35 kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Sleeper Class: up to 40 kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Third AC: up to 40 kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Second AC: up to 50 kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Passengers who bring more luggage than these allotments are required to reserve it in advance at the parcel office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indian Railways Updated Ticket Booking Rules & Fares<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nReportedly, Indian Railways has increased the rail fare from July 1, 2025, they have increased the fare of AC, non-AC coaches in mail to express trains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have increased the fares according to the distance, for instance the fare of general non-AC sleeper class and first class has increased by 50 paise per kilometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, the fare of mail and express non-AC trains has been increased by 1 paisa per kilometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In case of AC class, the fair has increased by 2 paise per kilometer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
