Once <a href=\"https:\/\/curlytales.com\/good-news-upi-to-soon-be-integrated-with-digital-payment-in-the-uae-heres-how-it-benefits-indians\/?utm_source=inshorts&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=fullarticle#google_vignette\">completed<\/a>, Indian tourists and expats may <strong>not need to carry cash or local cards<\/strong> \u2014 just a passport and a mobile phone with UPI-enabled apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Boon for 5.5 Million Indian Tourists<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The development comes on the heels of <strong>5.5 million Indian tourists visiting the UAE in 2024<\/strong>, underscoring the strong travel ties between the two nations. With so many visitors, <strong>frictionless financial transactions<\/strong> will significantly enhance travel convenience and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL), the global arm of the National Payments Corporation of India, is spearheading the initiative to promote UPI adoption globally. UAE is one of its most strategic markets due to the large Indian diaspora and vibrant tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>UPI Meets AANI: A New Era in Fintech Diplomacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The integration will link India\u2019s UPI with the UAE\u2019s <strong>AANI platform<\/strong> \u2014 the national instant payments system.
