Alongside, the company is preparing to launch a <strong>larger SUV<\/strong> with <strong>EV, hybrid, and ICE variants<\/strong>, targeting broader consumer preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Partnership with Global OEMs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While MG remains JSW\u2019s key partner, the group is also <strong>collaborating with a Chinese OEM for technology<\/strong> in its JSW-badged cars. The <strong>first product launch is slated for early 2027<\/strong>. A <strong>commercial vehicle (CV) project<\/strong> is also in progress, with a <strong>global OEM licence<\/strong> secured. Production is expected to begin <strong>in the first half of 2026<\/strong>, though the JSW brand won\u2019t appear on CVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rs 10,000 Crore Investment and New Manufacturing Hub<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>JSW is investing <strong>Rs 10,000 crore<\/strong> via its promoter entity to <strong>establish a new factory<\/strong> in <strong>Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar<\/strong> for both commercial and passenger vehicles. The company is also evaluating opportunities to <strong>manufacture EV batteries<\/strong>, further strengthening its automotive footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tackling Range Anxiety and Localisation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The company claims that <strong>range anxiety is reducing<\/strong>, thanks to better technology. The <strong>Windsor EV offers 400+ km range with a 53kWh battery<\/strong> and 330 km with a 38kWh variant. Localisation efforts have improved drastically\u2014from <strong>27% at Windsor&#8217;s launch<\/strong> to a projected <strong>85% by mid-2026<\/strong>, excluding only motors and battery cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Towards EV Market Leadership<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>More than <strong>80% of JSW MG Motor&#8217;s sales are now EVs<\/strong>, positioning the brand to <strong>soon become India\u2019s top EV player<\/strong>. With Windsor priced at Rs 13-18 lakh, the group is now aiming to <strong>hit the mass-market sweet spot<\/strong> with a more affordable EV offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Summasry<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>JSW Group is developing a Rs 10-12 lakh electric vehicle and planning a Rs 10,000 crore investment in its automotive venture. With partnerships, localisation drives, and a new manufacturing plant in Sambhajinagar, JSW is aggressively scaling its EV and commercial vehicle footprint.
