It is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/cities\/bengaluru-news\/bengalurus-yellow-line-metro-to-open-in-early-august-pm-modi-likely-to-attend-the-launch-event-report-101751607781658.html\">expected<\/a> to reduce road congestion and bring much-needed relief to thousands of daily passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Delays Due to Driverless Train Certification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary reasons behind the delay were the <strong>shortage of trains<\/strong> and pending <strong>Independent Safety Assessment (ISA)<\/strong> approvals required for the <strong>driverless train system<\/strong>. BMRCL currently has only <strong>three trains<\/strong> designated for the Yellow Line. Initially, trains will operate at <strong>25-minute intervals<\/strong>, covering all 16 stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inspection Scheduled Mid-July<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>safety inspection<\/strong> is expected to begin <strong>after July 15<\/strong>, taking around <strong>three to four days<\/strong>. It will include a thorough assessment of all stations, track infrastructure, and operational systems. A complete review of the <strong>Operational Control Centre (OCC)<\/strong> at Baiyappanahalli depot is also scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Launch Depends on CMRS Clearance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>BMRCL Managing Director M Maheshwar Rao<\/strong>, the line\u2019s launch depends on receiving final approval from the <strong>Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS)<\/strong>. \u201cAll procedures should wrap up by the end of July. Once we receive clearance, we will announce the opening,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PM Modi May Attend Inauguration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports suggest that <strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong> could attend the inauguration, depending on whether it clashes with the <strong>Parliament\u2019s monsoon session<\/strong>. BMRCL has tentatively selected <strong>KSRP Grounds near Silk Board<\/strong> as the event venue, pending final confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A New Era for Southern Bengaluru<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With its launch, the Yellow Line is poised to offer faster, cleaner, and more efficient transit options for southern Bengaluru.
