If the index touches <strong>144.5 in June<\/strong>, the <strong>12-month average<\/strong> is expected to hit <strong>144.17<\/strong>. Using the <strong>7th Pay Commission formula<\/strong>, this would translate into a DA rate of <strong>58.85 percent<\/strong>, which will be <strong>rounded off to 59 percent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Official Announcement Expected Around Diwali<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the hike will be <strong>effective from July<\/strong>, the <strong>official announcement is expected around September or October<\/strong>, in time for the <strong>Diwali festival<\/strong>. This follows the usual trend of DA announcements coinciding with festive periods to boost consumer sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7th Pay Commission\u2019s Final Hike<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This upcoming hike will likely be the <strong>last DA revision under the 7th Pay Commission<\/strong>, which ends on <strong>December 31, 2025<\/strong>. The <strong>8th Pay Commission<\/strong> was announced in January 2025 but is yet to be formally constituted. There has been <strong>no appointment of chairman or members<\/strong>, and the <strong>Terms of Reference (ToR)<\/strong> are still pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8th Pay Commission May Be Implemented by 2027<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, a new pay commission takes <strong>18 to 24 months<\/strong> to submit its report and roll out implementation.
