If you drive often, then just imagine driving on a wide road which is newly built, having zero potholes and trees lined up on both sides of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Unexpected Situation Causing Trouble <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only that when you drive further and speed through the smooth road, you get to experience the fresh cold breeze and landscape make for a scenic and pleasant driving experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now consider that these trees are shifted to the middle of the road and turn into a real-life biking game where either you have to evade hurdles present on the road or lose a lifeline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, this scenario has come true for Bihar’s Jehanabad which is located 50km away from the capital Patna, where a Rs 100 crore road widening project went terribly wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that trees stand tall in the middle of the 7.48 km long road, making the commuters prone to accidents on the Patna-Gaya main road, in Jehanabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are wondering, regarding these trees, they didn’t grow overnight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, What Could Have Happened?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all started when the district administration undertook a Rs 100 crore road widening project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this, they approached the forest department, further seeking a permission to remove trees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As expected, their demand was rejected, but then the forest department demanded compensation for 14 hectares of forest land in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was not possible as the district administration could not fulfil the request, so  they made a bizarre move by creating a road around the trees, reportedly<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note here that the trees are not planted in a straight line as it would be easy for a driver to avoid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So while driving, the drive has to criss-cross their way through them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In simple words, this appears to be an Rs 100 crore invitation to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has already caused saveral accidents due to the trees presence in the middle of the road, according to the passerby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this, people are expecting some robust actions from the district administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But contrary to this, they dont seem to be taking any concrete initiative in making it a smooth road by removing the trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or the authorities are waiting to be held responsible if a major accident occurs and someone dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
