To assess progress and expedite land acquisition for important infrastructure projects, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presided over a high-level meeting with senior officials and MSRDC representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maharashtra Govt to Release \u20b917,000 Crore for Land Acquisition Under Key MSRDC Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, nine significant projects led by the MSRDC were reviewed, including multimodal corridors and expressways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to guarantee prompt and effective infrastructure development, the state intends to complete<\/a> land acquisition for these projects by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Anilkumar Gaikwad, Managing Director and Vice-Chairman of the MSRDC, land acquisition for the Jalna\u2013Nanded expressway and the Pune Ring Road is almost finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Land measurement is presently underway for other projects, such as the Shaktipeeth expressway, the Virar\u2013Alibaug multimodal expressway, three important Vidarbha roads, and the Vadhwan\u2013Samruddhi and Navgaon\u2013Morgaon connectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Approves \u20b936,000 Cr for Land Acquisition, \u20b917,000 Cr More to Follow in Phases: Gaikwad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaikwad stated that a total of \u20b936,000 crore has been approved by the state government for land acquisition, and an additional \u20b917,000 crore will be released in phases as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The CM has made it clear that acquisition delays will escalate project costs and should be avoided,” Gaikwad said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jalna\u2013Nanded expressway will cost \u20b92,140 crore, the Virar\u2013Alibaug multimodal corridor will cost \u20b922,000 crore, and the Pune Ring Road will cost \u20b99,000 crore of the \u20b936,000 crore allotted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After land acquisition is complete, the Chief Minister underlined the necessity of finalizing implementation models, such as Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) or Public-Private Partnership (PPP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of 300 villages, 86 have had their land measured for the Shaktipeeth expressway, and joint measurements should be finished by August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known as the “Golden Triangle,” the Shaktipeeth expressway will connect Goa, Mumbai, and Nagpur, three important religious and commercial centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It will enhance north-to-east connectivity and function as a pilgrim circuit,” a senior MSRDC official stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fadnavis mandated that the expressway plan for Shaktipeeth have as little of an impact as possible on forest land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the purchase of land, he directed the finance department to release \u20b912,000 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, he gave the forest department instructions to start the clearance process without postponing other administrative procedures, particularly for the ecologically delicate Morbe\u2013Karanja section of the Virar\u2013Alibaug corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister demanded that the plan for the Vadhwan\u2013Igatpuri expressway be completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bhandara\u2013Gadchiroli, Nagpur\u2013Chandrapur, and Nagpur\u2013Gondiya expressway land acquisition plans in Vidarbha must be completed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Navegaon (Mor)\u2013Surjagad mineral corridor and railway projects like Wardha\u2013Nanded and Vadsa\u2013Gadchiroli are among the other significant projects that were examined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Land acquisition for planned airports in Kolhapur, Karad, Akola, Gadchiroli, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was also discussed at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
