The launch was done via video conferencing, marking another milestone in India&#8217;s expanding rail network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-1024x596.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1296901\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-1024x596.png 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-300x175.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-768x447.png 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-1536x894.png 1536w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-27-at-11.57.35\u202fAM-2048x1192.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Train Schedule: Gwalior to Bengaluru and Back<\/strong><br>The newly launched service follows this weekly schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Departs Gwalior<\/strong>: Every <strong>Friday at 3 pm<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Arrives in Bengaluru<\/strong>: <strong>Sunday at 7:35 am<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Return journey<\/strong>: Departs <strong>Bengaluru on Sunday at 3:50 pm<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Arrives in Gwalior<\/strong>: <strong>Tuesday at 10:25 am<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The train will run with a total of <strong>22 coaches<\/strong>, providing greater travel convenience for students, professionals, and families connecting between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Madhya Pradesh\u2019s Railway Transformation<\/strong><br>During the launch, Vaishnaw highlighted the tremendous growth in railway investment in Madhya Pradesh:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The state now receives <strong>Rs 14,745 crore<\/strong>, up from just <strong>Rs 600 crore<\/strong> a decade ago<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>100 per cent rail electrification<\/strong> has been achieved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2,651 km<\/strong> of new railway tracks have been added in 11 years \u2013 more than the entire rail network of <strong>Denmark<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Major Projects Underway<\/strong><br>Madhya Pradesh is undergoing massive railway redevelopment, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>80 railway stations<\/strong> being modernised, including Gwalior with a unique architectural plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Upcoming Gwalior\u2013Agra passenger train<\/strong> in planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Big-ticket infrastructure projects such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manmad\u2013Indore new line: <strong>Rs 18,036 crore<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bhusaval\u2013Khandwa third\/fourth lines: <strong>Rs 3,514 crore<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ratlam\u2013Nagda third\/fourth lines: <strong>Rs 1,018 crore<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simhastha Kumbh Preparations in Ujjain<\/strong><br>The Minister also confirmed that a <strong>master plan for Ujjain station redevelopment<\/strong> has been finalised. Construction will begin <strong>after the Simhastha Kumbh<\/strong>, ensuring zero disruption to pilgrims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conclusion: A Step Towards Better Connectivity<\/strong><br>The new Gwalior\u2013Bengaluru Express is more than just a train\u2014it is a sign of India&#8217;s fast-evolving railway network.
