This enables round-the-clock charging, even during night hours and peak demand, <strong>easing grid pressure<\/strong> while promoting <strong>circular economy principles and electronic waste reduction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karnataka Energy Minister <strong>Shri K.J. George<\/strong> inaugurated the facility, praising it as a <strong>scalable model for urban and peri-urban deployment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Charging Infrastructure: Fast, Efficient, Accessible<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The charging station includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>9 DC fast chargers<\/strong> (5 of 50 kW and 4 of 30 kW)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>18 fast-charging points<\/strong> and <strong>5 slow-charging points<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compatibility with private, commercial, and fleet EVs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Real-time data and payments via BESCOM\u2019s \u201cEV Mitra\u201d app and WhatsApp QR code<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tariffs lower than private stations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delta Electronics India<\/strong>, a major EV charging solutions provider, supplied the hardware. The company has deployed <strong>8,000+ chargers in India<\/strong> and <strong>over 3 million globally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EV Adoption in Karnataka: Strong Momentum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With <strong>over 5,880 EV charging stations<\/strong> statewide and <strong>4,462 in Bengaluru Urban<\/strong>, Karnataka leads India\u2019s EV infrastructure push. In <strong>2025 alone, 140 new chargers<\/strong> were added, showcasing the state&#8217;s commitment to building a comprehensive, accessible EV ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new hub near the airport can <strong>charge up to 23 vehicles simultaneously<\/strong>, catering to high-demand transit traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Replicable Model for India\u2019s Urban Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The RE2EV project is more than just a pilot\u2014it\u2019s a <strong>blueprint for future urban EV charging infrastructure<\/strong>.
