These agents handle tasks such as answering employee queries, processing paperwork, and organising HR data. Designed to work with minimal human supervision, these AI tools aim to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CEO Highlights Workforce Transformation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>IBM CEO <strong>Arvind Krishna<\/strong> described the AI adoption as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstoday.in\/technology\/news\/story\/tech-layoffs-2025-ibm-lays-off-8000-employees-as-ai-replaces-hr-department-478053-2025-05-28\">\u201cvery aggressive\u201d<\/a> and part of efforts to streamline enterprise workflows. Despite job cuts in some departments, Krishna emphasised that IBM\u2019s <strong>overall headcount has actually increased<\/strong>. Savings from automation are being redirected into growth areas such as software development, marketing, and sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krishna explained that IBM\u2019s approach is not just job cutting but <strong>modernising the workforce<\/strong> by focusing on roles that require human creativity, strategic thinking, and people management. Instead, AI will take over the repetitive parts, freeing employees to focus on tasks requiring <strong>human judgement and decision-making<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IBM Promotes AI Tools for Clients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside internal changes, IBM recently showcased new AI tools at its <strong>annual Think conference<\/strong>.
