Typically, Android OS releases coincide with the launch of new Pixel smartphones in the fall.<\/a> But this time, Google is changing the playbook. If all goes to plan, the beta phase will wrap up in the coming weeks, and the stable version will begin rolling out much earlier than expected \u2014 starting June 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PIXEL PHONES FIRST TO GET ANDROID 16<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As usual, Google\u2019s own Pixel lineup will be first in line for the Android 16 update. This includes not just current models but also the upcoming Pixel 9 series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    SAMSUNG DEVICES EXPECTED TO FOLLOW<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Samsung is also preparing for Android 16, with the Galaxy S25<\/strong> and Galaxy Z Fold 6 \/ Flip 6<\/strong> likely to be among the first non-Google phones to receive the update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What\u2019s interesting is that Samsung\u2019s next-gen foldables \u2014 the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 \u2014 are tipped to launch with One UI 8 (based on Android 16) out of the box<\/strong> in July.
