The acquisition bid is in partnership with private equity giant <strong>Warburg Pincus<\/strong>, and the deal could be signed within weeks\u2014though Haier may still back out or consider other buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rival Bidders in the Fray<\/strong><br>The battle for Haier India\u2019s stake is heating up. <strong>Mukesh Ambani\u2019s Reliance Industries<\/strong>, <strong>TPG Capital<\/strong> (with the Burman family of Dabur), and <strong>GIC<\/strong> (teamed with the Goenka family) are also reportedly interested in acquiring the stake, according to earlier reports by <em>The Economic Times<\/em> and <em>Moneycontrol<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"582\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-1024x582.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1294958\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-1024x582.png 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-768x436.png 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-1536x872.png 1536w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-12-at-7.56.04\u202fAM-2048x1163.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haier\u2019s Strong India Growth Push<\/strong><br>Haier, which sells <strong>refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and TVs<\/strong>, has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/companies\/news\/sunil-mittal-haier-india-stake-deal-airtel-electronics-home-appliances-125050900764_1.html\">reported robust performance in India:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>36% growth<\/strong> in FY24 with \u20b98,900 crore in revenue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Targets <strong>\u20b911,500 crore in 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-term goal: Add \u20b92,000-2,500 crore in revenue annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u20b91,000 Cr Investment Plan Unveiled<\/strong><br>Haier plans to invest over <strong>\u20b91,000 crore between 2024\u20132028<\/strong> to expand its air conditioner production and build new injection moulding units. With <strong>\u20b92,400 crore<\/strong> already invested in <strong>Pune and Greater Noida<\/strong>, the company is ramping up manufacturing to meet growing demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current AC capacity of 1.5 million units is set to rise to <strong>2.5 million units by 2027<\/strong>, reflecting rising consumer demand and Haier\u2019s aggressive expansion in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>India\u2019s Growing Appliance Market<\/strong><br>With only modest penetration levels compared to global averages, India is a massive growth opportunity for consumer appliance players.
