Additionally, the specific course must be either state-approved or assessed as suitable for foreign students by the Danish Evaluation Institute. This marks a strict shift from earlier, more flexible rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No More Benefits for Non-State-Approved Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students enrolled in programs that are not state-approved will lose access to three key benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Work Permits:<\/strong> Part-time work rights during studies will no longer be granted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Job Search Stay:<\/strong> The 6-month post-study period for job hunting is eliminated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Family Reunification:<\/strong> Students can no longer bring family members on a dependent visa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who Will Be Affected?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These changes only apply to <strong>new applications<\/strong> submitted on or after May 2, 2025. Students already enrolled in non-state-approved courses before this date will not lose their existing rights. They will still be allowed to work, search for jobs post-graduation, and live with their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Is Denmark Doing This?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration clarified that the amendment aims to prevent the misuse of student visas as a backdoor for work or immigration.
