With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstoday.in\/personal-finance\/news\/story\/epfo-simplifies-pf-transfers-with-revamped-form-13-floats-bulk-uan-allotment-without-aadhaar-seeding-details-here-473655-2025-04-25\">revamped<\/a> Form 13 functionality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Employer approvals are waived<\/strong> in most cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once approved by the <strong>source office<\/strong>, the PF amount is <strong>automatically credited<\/strong> to the employee&#8217;s new account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Destination office approval is no longer required<\/strong>, reducing processing time drastically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This reform aligns with the government\u2019s broader goal of easing procedural burdens on Indian workers and enabling <strong>annual transfers worth nearly \u20b990,000 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Better Tax Transparency with Automated TDS Calculation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The software update also addresses a critical issue for PF members\u2014<strong>Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)<\/strong> on interest earnings. The system now provides a <strong>clear bifurcation between taxable and non-taxable PF components<\/strong>, making it easier to calculate tax liability and comply with regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This added transparency ensures smoother tax filing and resolves long-standing confusion about PF interest taxation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bulk UAN Generation Without Aadhaar Made Possible<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In another major development, the EPFO has introduced a facility to <strong>generate Universal Account Numbers (UANs) in bulk<\/strong> without needing immediate Aadhaar seeding. This benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees who\u2019ve accumulated funds via <strong>exempted trusts<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organizations undergoing <strong>trust cancellations or recovery actions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The UANs generated under this new functionality will be held in a <strong>frozen state<\/strong> and only activated after Aadhaar is seeded, ensuring both <strong>flexibility and security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Step Towards Digital Ease<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With these changes, the EPFO is clearly pushing toward a <strong>digital-first, member-friendly<\/strong> experience.
