The initiative, highlighted by the <strong>National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO)<\/strong>, aims to support donors through the intensive recovery period following surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Untitled-design-13-1.jpeg\" alt=\"42 Days Of Extra Casual Leave For Govt Employees Announced\" class=\"wp-image-1293306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Untitled-design-13-1.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Untitled-design-13-1-300x140.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Untitled-design-13-1-768x357.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcdc What the Policy States<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Central government employees who donate organs are entitled to <strong>a <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etnownews.com\/news\/central-government-employees-extra-leave-good-news-additional-42-leave-days-heres-how-to-avail-what-govt-confirmed-article-151358484#:~:text=The%20government%20has%20therefore%20decided,measure%2C%E2%80%9D%20the%20DoPT%20stated.\"><strong>maximum of 42 days of special casual leave<\/strong>.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The leave covers <strong>pre-surgery, hospitalisation<\/strong>, and <strong>post-surgery recovery<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>DoPT<\/strong> has issued formal orders, and the notification is also available on NOTTO\u2019s website for wide awareness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfe5 Recovery Time Matters<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOrgan removal is a major surgical process and requires sufficient recovery time,\u201d said NOTTO Chief Dr. Anil Kumar. The 42-day leave is applicable <strong>regardless of the organ<\/strong> being donated, and is designed to offer full support to living donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\ude7a Key Guidelines<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The leave <strong>must be taken in one stretch<\/strong>, starting from the date of hospital admission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In special cases, leave can begin <strong>up to one week before surgery<\/strong>, if recommended by a <strong>registered medical practitioner<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The policy covers <strong>kidney, liver, and pancreas<\/strong> donations\u2014organs that living donors can donate safely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude4c A Step Towards Encouraging Organ Donation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This move is being hailed as a <strong>progressive welfare measure<\/strong> that not only recognizes the selflessness of donors but also ensures they are physically and mentally supported during recovery.
