There are rumors that the Google Pixel 10 series, which will replace the Pixel 9 lineup, is currently under development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report, Imagination Technologies, a UK-based company, may develop a GPU for the new Tensor G5 SoC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Pixel 10 To Come With GPU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DXT-48-1536 GPU in question is capable of 2D dual-rate texturing, RISC-V firmware, and scalable ray tracing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following RISC-V Day Tokyo, postgraduate student Yang Yanling wrote a blog post mentioning processors<\/a> that used Imagination GPUs, which is cited in an Android Authority report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details that connected the Tensor G5 to the Imagination GPU were included in the initial blog post, but they were later taken down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to screenshots of the original text, Google is either testing or intends to use the DXT-48-1536 GPU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-end smartphones are the target market for the DXT-48-1536 GPU, which uses its Ray Acceleration Cluster (RAC) to enable ray tracing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fragment Shading Rate (FSR), one of its features, improves performance by processing fewer fragments while preserving visual quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GPU provides 50% more compute and texture performance<\/a> per Scalable Processing Unit (SPU) than its predecessor, according to Imagination Technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improvements To Boost Pixel 10 Series\u2019 Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is anticipated that these improvements will boost the Pixel 10 series’ graphical performance and fidelity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to previous leaks, the Tensor G5 SoC will also include upgrades for parts such as Google EdgeTPU, Google GXP (DSP), Google Emerald Hill memory coprocessor, and always-on compute (AoC) audio processor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tensor G5 is expected to have better performance and energy efficiency than the current Tensor G4 and be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process rather than Samsung Foundry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we reported earlier, The Google Pixel 10 series is expected to launch in 2025, featuring a new Tensor G5 chip, AI enhancements, improved cameras, and potential design changes. This lineup is anticipated to include four models: The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While the official release date is unclear, it may follow the trend set by the Pixel 9 series and arrive in August or September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
