This extensive network will serve as the backbone for high-speed connectivity, benefitting commuters, telecom providers, data centers, and smart city initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Phased Implementation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation will take place in phases, with the Pink and Magenta Lines being the <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/delhi\/soon-internet-connectivity-on-delhi-metro-when-underground-9849496\/\">first to go live within a month<\/a>. A DMRC official confirmed that the entire network is expected to be operational within six months. The fiber optic network will provide connectivity to Internet service providers, ensuring seamless access for Metro users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Boost for Smart City Initiatives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from enhancing commuter experience, the network will also support smart city projects by providing high-speed data transfer capabilities. Telecom operators and Internet service providers will benefit from improved connectivity, leading to better mobile network coverage in underground Metro stations and tunnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transforming Delhi Metro Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, passengers face connectivity issues when traveling through underground Metro sections. This upgrade will eliminate disruptions, allowing commuters to browse, stream, and work without interruptions.
