After seven years in India, IKEA is expanding its presence with online deliveries in Delhi-NCR<\/strong>, marking a major milestone in its India strategy. This expansion will cater to the growing demand for IKEA\u2019s products in Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida before the launch of its physical stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To streamline its supply chain, IKEA has partnered with Germany-based Rhenus Logistics<\/strong> and will operate from a 1.5 lakh sq. ft. warehouse in Gurugram<\/strong>. Online deliveries are expected to begin by early 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, IKEA\u2019s online shopping platform serves only four states\u2014Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana<\/strong>\u2014where it also has stores in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai<\/strong>. The expansion into Delhi-NCR<\/strong> is a significant<\/a> move, given that e-commerce already contributes nearly 30% of IKEA\u2019s total sales in India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physical Stores Underway in Gurugram & Noida<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Alongside its e-commerce expansion, IKEA is gearing up for its first offline stores in Delhi-NCR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Gurugram Store:<\/strong> Expected to be the largest in Delhi-NCR<\/strong>, featuring a 4 lakh sq. ft. retail space<\/strong> and a 1,000-seater restaurant<\/strong> serving both Swedish and Indian cuisine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Noida Store:<\/strong> Construction began in September 2024<\/strong>, with an expected opening by 2028<\/strong>.
