Hyundai is working on the third-generation Creta, which is set to launch in 2027. While official details are limited, the new model, internally codenamed SX3, is expected to carry over the current 115hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine, with a possible upgrade to a 1.5-liter turbo petrol or a 1.5-liter diesel engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One significant change could be the introduction of a hybrid powertrain, marking Hyundai\u2019s entry into the hybrid SUV market<\/a>. The Creta Hybrid may become the first hybrid model from the brand. This launch will follow the unveiling of the Hyundai Ni1i SUV, which will sit between the Alcazar and Tucson in the lineup. The Ni1i will offer a 1.5-liter engine paired with an electric motor, showcasing Hyundai’s push towards electrification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next-gen Creta will feature enhanced safety technologies, including ADAS level 2 safety features, making it a more attractive option for customers. Internationally, models like the KIA Seltos Hybrid are undergoing trials, hinting at similar plans for Hyundai\u2019s models. The Seltos Hybrid features a new four-wheel-drive (E-AWD) system, designed for markets with a preference for all-wheel-drive vehicles, particularly Europe.
