the railway minister added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further saying that <a href=\"https:\/\/swarajyamag.com\/news-brief\/indian-railways-set-for-major-expansion-with-200-vande-bharat-100-amrit-bharat-and-50-namo-bharat-trains\">Indian Railways<\/a> is set to expand more rapidly and safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Major Milestones To Be Achieved<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government appears to have committed Rs 2.52 lakh crore in gross budgetary support to the Ministry of Railways for the financial year 2025-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This way they are maintaining a high level of investment for the second straight year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The centre has planned infrastructure projects worth Rs 4.6 lakh crore to improve the railway network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, they have allocated Rs 1.16 lakh crore&nbsp; for safety initiatives, said the Railway Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding that the 2025-26 budget reaffirms the government\u2019s focus on improving Railways by approving projects in manufacturing and infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, Rs 4.6 lakh crore has been sanctioned for new projects over the next four to five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They will be covering new track construction, track doubling, station redevelopment, flyovers, underpasses and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to the Amrit Bharat trains, it will boost connectivity between short-distance city routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead Vaishnaw said that the manufacturing of general coaches is already in progress, with 1,400 units expected to be completed by 31 March while talking about the production front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have set a target for FY 2025-26 is to manufacture 2,000 general coaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides this, the Indian Railways also aims to achieve a major milestone by 31 March by&nbsp;
