The recent leaks are pointing towards the OnePlus Open 2 as it could become the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world after its launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OnePlus Open 2 Design Leak <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes you read right as this smartphone is even thinner than the current record-holder for being the thinnest foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Oppo has  announced their new foldable smartphone, the Find N5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone maker has announced that this phone will be released in China in February.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Find N5 is most likely to be marketed globally as the OnePlus Open 2 as per the past launches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This leaked information is shared by popular leakers Digital Chat Station and Smart Pikachu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaked information is quite exciting for fans as they have long-awaited the sequel to the OnePlus Open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World\u2019s Thinnest Smartphone<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While talking about this latest launch, Oppo\u2019s Senior Vice President Liu Zuohu has described the Find N5 as the world\u2019s thinnest foldable considering its design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reportedly<\/a>, the Honor Magic V3 measures 4.35mm when unfolded and 9.2mm when folded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oppo Find N5 \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and by extension, the OnePlus Open 2 \u00e2\u20ac\u201d could go even slimmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It could reportedly measure around 4mm in its unfolded stat, as mentioned in the leaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides its design, its camera layout has also grabbed a lot of attention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is expected to feature a circular camera module, positioned in the centre similar to the Oppo Find X8 Pro and the original OnePlus Open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this it is expected to have a periscope telephoto lens, a Hasselblad branding at the centre, and a flash in the lower right corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, the leakers also hinted at a minimal crease on the foldable display further adding to its premium feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone comes with a potential upgrade with the use of a titanium frame<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is expected to make this smartphone more  lightweight, that too without compromising durability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, foldable phones are often criticised for their fragility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering the same, this is an interesting move from OnePlus and Oppo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the hardware, the OnePlus Open 2 is most likely to come with a triple-lens Hasselblad camera with satellite communication support, a 6,000mAh battery, and wireless charging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming to its core, the smartphone is most likely to be powered by Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is rumoured to come with three colour options including black, white, and possibly additional finishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the leaked image, the inner display shows a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera in the top right corner while maintaining a sleek and modern design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are wondering about the timeline, the Chinese launch is slated for February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 While the international release of the OnePlus Open 2 is expected to follow soon after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This would give this nodal a significant head start over competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which will likely be launched later in the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
