After going through multiple setbacks and delays, finally the work on Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Yellow Line is set to commence from January 6.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Yellow Line All Ready To Launch <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, the first train is ready to be dispatched to Bengaluru in the first week of January as announced by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this launch, the Yellow Line<\/a> will be connecting the RV Road to Bommasandra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be covering key locations such as Electronics City, home to major companies like Infosys and Biocon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, Surya stated that Titagarh Rail Systems will initially deliver one train per month provided details about the train delivery schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding, “The first train will be dispatched to Bengaluru on January 6. Titagarh has committed to delivering the second train by the end of January or early February, and the third by April. Thereafter, one train will be delivered per month, increasing to two trains per month by September.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Surya urged the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to secure all CMRS approvals simultaneously to avoid further delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further revealing that he has requested the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to visit the Titagarh Rail Systems manufacturing plant on January 6 to flag off the first train. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surya mentioned, “I have invited the Hon. MoHUA Minister to visit the plant, flag off the trains, and inspect the facility to expedite the process further. I will also be present in Kolkata for the event.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While acknowledging the public frustration over the repeated delays, Surya mentioned the significance of this development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Positive News On The Front <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding, “As you all know, the start of the Namma Metro Yellow Line operations has failed to meet the deadlines set by BMRCL, leading to widespread disappointment. The primary cause of the delay has been the unavailability of trains. However, there is finally some positive news on this front.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
