Further, 54,337 TKM supports speeds of up to <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/business\/india-business\/faster-train-travel-one-fifth-of-indian-railways-tracks-can-now-handle-130-kmph-train-speeds\/articleshow\/116907906.cms\">110 kmph<\/a>, with 2,741 TKM already operational at this speed in the current fiscal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Semi-High-Speed and Vande Bharat Progress<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Major stretches of the Golden Quadrilateral are being upgraded for semi-high-speed trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, which can reach speeds of 160 kmph. These upgrades aim to facilitate faster and more efficient rail travel across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial and Operational Performance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Indian Railways reported a 4% increase in earnings and a 2% rise in capital expenditure during April\u2013December of the current fiscal year, achieving total revenue of \u20b91.93 lakh crore. Freight revenue reached \u20b91.26 lakh crore, while passenger earnings grew by 6% to \u20b955,988 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Increased Train Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Train services rose by 3%, hitting an all-time high of 2.07 million runs.
