These trials, supervised by the Research Designs &amp; Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow, aim to evaluate the trains performance at speeds of 130 kmph and 180 kmph under various load conditions. The rake, composed of 16 coaches across Class I to III, will undergo rigorous testing to ensure safety and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Production in Full Swing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that 10 Vande Bharat sleeper trains are currently in production as part of the larger plan to introduce 200 sleeper trains. The manufacturing process has been assigned to technology partners, with timelines dependent on the trials results. These sleeper trains are expected to revolutionize rail travel by offering superior comfort and faster travel times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boosting Rail Infrastructure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The expansion of the Vande Bharat fleet is part of the broader effort to enhance rail connectivity in India. Currently, 136 chair car Vande Bharat trains operate across electrified broad-gauge networks, with an impressive occupancy rate of over 100 percent. In parallel, Indian Railways has increased production of Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, manufacturing over 36,933 units between 2014 and 2024 compared to just 2,337 units in the previous decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future Prospects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the active involvement of Railway Minister Vaishnaw and alignment with PM Modis vision, the Vande Bharat sleeper train project is expected to commence commercial operations within the next few years.
