\u20b936,000 Crore Project to Ease Traffic and Enhance Connectivity in Pune with Elevated Corridors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an estimated cost of \u20b936,000 crores, the project aims to enhance connectivity as well as ease traffic bottlenecks in key areas, significantly reducing strain on Pune’s road network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These elevated corridors will span some of the busiest routes in Pune, providing faster, smoother commutes by bypassing congested roads.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six Key Elevated Corridors to Improve Traffic and Connectivity in Pune<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The six corridors include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Nashik Phata \u2013 Khed: Alleviating the traffic along the Mumbai-Nashik-Pune route, this corridor aims to improve travel time and access for vehicles heading to and from Pune.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Ravet \u2013 Narhe: Connecting the northern and southern parts of Pune, this stretch will ease traffic for commuters traveling between Pimpri-Chinchwad and southern Pune.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Narhe \u2013 Katraj: This corridor shall aim to alleviate traffic woes between a busy route connecting residential and commercial areas between Narhe and Katraj, which is known for its zoo and educational institutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Talegaon \u2013 Chakan \u2013 Shikarpur: Connecting industrial hubs on Pune’s outskirts, this corridor will help manage traffic from local commuters and heavy goods transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Pune \u2013 Shirur: This elevated corridor shall enhance the connectivity between Pune and Shirur, eventually improving access to key pilgrimage and industrial destinations like Alandi and Ranjangaon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Hadapsar \u2013 Yavat: Linking rapidly developing Hadapsar with Yavat, this corridor will reduce traffic in southern Pune, benefiting tech parks, residential zones, and industries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    With the aim of reducing congestion, improving connectivity, decreasing pollution, and boosting local real estate and businesses, these elevated corridors are all set to redefine the transportation of the \u201cOxford of the East\u201d. It is with the timeline of 4-5 years and an investment of \u20b936,000 crores that the construction shall begin soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The corridors will include advanced technology, such as smart traffic management and dedicated lanes for heavy vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
