8th Pay Commission Not In Plans? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Narendra Modi administration may decide not to convene the 8th Pay Commission<\/a> at all, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To guarantee that central government workers get timely wage and pension changes, a new system may be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report by NDTV Profit, the government may use this new system in place of conventional pay commissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next salary and pension revision is scheduled on January 1, 2026, the NC JCM emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his letter, Shiv Gopal Mishra emphasized the long-standing practice of updating salaries, perks, pensions, and allowances every ten years\u2014a practice that has been in place since the Fourth Pay Commission in 1986.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 2016 saw the implementation of the recommendations made by the 7th Pay Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To guarantee prompt implementation, a new pay commission has traditionally been created every ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is increasing expectation that a new panel will be established shortly and submit its findings by January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But according to a recent statement from the Union Finance Ministry, no proposal for an eighth central pay commission is being considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
