Pune Ring Road Groundwork Finally Begins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday, the project was inaugurated with a traditional puja that was attended by locals, local lawmakers, and corporate representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per a tweet<\/a>, \u201cActual groundwork begins for the much awaited Pune Outer Ring Road! Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd has begun work on the 24.5 Km package E4 of the ring road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This package lies between Pune-Ahmednagar highway and Pune-Solapur highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official groundbreaking ceremony for the Pune ring road will be held later this month once the new state government takes oath.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Than 100 Excavators and Other Heavy Equipments Sent In<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To speed up development on the Eastern Phase of the Ring Road, more than 100 excavators and other heavy equipment have been sent in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BK Singh, Director of Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., remarked, “This marks a crucial step in enhancing Pune’s infrastructure. We are dedicated to completing the Eastern Phase on time while upholding the highest quality standards.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A revised project cost increase of \u20b920,375.21 crore was authorized by the Maharashtra government in October, raising the overall cost to \u20b942,711.03 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pune Ring Road (East), which has an estimated cost of \u20b919,932.98 crore, runs 72.335 kilometers from Urse (Mumbai-Pune Expressway) to Sortapwadi (Pune-Solapur Road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2021, the Eastern Phase’s initial cost and length estimate of \u20b910,159.82 crore was revised higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised cost of the Pune Ring Road (West), which connects Urse (Mumbai-Pune Expressway) to Varve Budruk (Satara Road), is \u20b922,778.05 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to new features and revised specifications, the Western Phase’s initial cost estimate of \u20b912,176 crore in September 2021 was later raised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singh emphasized the project’s potential to transform Pune’s metropolitan landscape and added that the official groundbreaking ceremony is anticipated to occur after December 5, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of cutting-edge technology and changes to project criteria are blamed for cost increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight tunnels, three small bridges, two major bridges, and a half-kilometer bridge over the backwaters of the Khadakwasla dam are all part of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By rerouting large trucks and enhancing communication with inter-district routes, the Ring Road would eventually reduce traffic congestion in Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 83 communities are expected to be covered by the Ring Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
