On one hand, AI seems to be dominating the industries with more companies scrambling to cash-in on the wave, but in reality it paints a totally different picture.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI Readiness Index On Decline <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that only 18 percent of companies in India are presently fully prepared to deploy and use AI-powered technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is interesting as the AI readiness was significantly down compared to a year ago when it was 20 per cent, as per the recently published Cisco 2024 AI Readiness Index report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While talking about this subject, the president, APJC, Cisco, Dave West said<\/a>, \u201cAs companies accelerate their AI journeys, it\u2019s critical they adopt a comprehensive approach to implementation and connect the dots to link AI ambition with readiness.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, the decline in AI readiness highlights the challenges companies face while adopting, deploying, and fully leveraging AI, as per the report<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This readiness gap holds a great significance here as it is critical considering the rapid market evolution and the impact of AI on business operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming to this report which is done by Cisco, who is a leading networking and security provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is based on a survey of 3,660 senior business leaders from companies with over 500 employees across 14 markets in the APJC region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaders which were being surveyed are responsible for AI integration within their organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Need Of A Modern Digital Infrastructure<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the AI readiness index, it is measured based on six pillars \u2013 strategy, infrastructure, data, governance, talent, and culture, the company stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s AI Readiness Index shows that to fully harness the potential of AI, companies need a modern digital infrastructure that is capable of meeting evolving power needs and network latency requirements from growing AI workloads, West said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further adding, \u201cThis must be supported with the right visibility to achieve their business objectives.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically infrastructure is a key pain point as only 21 percent organizations have the necessary GPUs to meet the current and future AI demands, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other side, almost 36 percent have the capabilities to protect data in AI models with end-to-end encryption, security audits, continuous monitoring, and instant threat response. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case of the AI investments by companies, they were focussed in three areas including 47 per cent are into full or advanced deployment, 44 per cent focused on data analysis, and 43 per cent into data management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their main aspiration is to achieve enhanced efficiency of systems, processes, operations and profitability. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
